Can you believe it ? Fall is right around the corner and the weather this weekend is going be a taste of what’s to come. A great time to hop in the car and come on out to Kingsdene. Lots of seasonal decor to choose from in the gift shop, select perennials are on sale, huge tri-color mums, pansies and violas, ornamental peppers and more. Stroll through the nursery and pick out a new tree or shrub for your landscape. We are located at 16435 York Road in Monkton, open everyday from 9 to 5.

Ho Hum, the Summer is drawing to a close and Fall is a great time to refresh your perennial garden. Some of our select perennials are just a little tired and in need of a new home where they will have space and adequate rest and relaxation to root in. All perennials marked with a green X are 40% off. Varieties/colors are limited but here are just a few that are currently on sale: Gaillardia, Echinacea , Veronica, Switchgrass, Campanula, Hosta, Daylilly, Serbian Bellflower, Heuchera, and Sedum. Come on in, you are sure to find something to add to your garden!

Weather got you down? Feeling overwhelmed as you look at the window at your overgrown messy gardens? Not to fear, Kingsdene to the rescue! We are now scheduling Spring clean-ups including mulching, edging, weeding, trimming and the like. Strawberry plants have arrived ! These are June bearing strawberries and should be planted now or early April. Plant 18” apart in soil with compost mixed in; be sure not to bury the crown. 8 hours of sun is best. Be sure to feed with slow release fertilizer. Don’t overwater, strawberry plants do not like wet feet. Then sit back and enjoy your bounty!
